When it comes to energy, Floridians want to drill baby drill.

An API poll commissioned by the Florida Petroleum council finds 81 percent of residents support the development of America's energy infrastructure.

73 percent want increased production of U.S. oil and gas.

72 percent are more likely to support a candidate in November who supports more U.S. energy infrastructure and continued drilling for oil and gas in the U.S.

Dave Mica with the Florida Petroleum council says Floridians use 25 million gallons of gas every day, and most of our electricity is generated by natural gas.

He says U.S. energy  companies are producing at record levels.
