(Tallahassee, FL) -- "The New York Times" is publishing its own review of the rape investigation of Heisman winner and Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston. The paper's review found that there was very little police work done in the days after the alleged victim filed her complaint. The Times also criticized detectives for not acting quickly enough to interview potential witnesses and secure evidence. State Attorney Willie Meggs opened his own review of the evidence and, in December, closed the case and said no charges would be filed. FSU said it was disappointed by the Times' report and called it incomplete.
