The voter registration deadline for the August primary is near.

The August primaries and nonpartisan elections will select who is in certain county government positions, some school board member positions, judgeships.

The partisan primary selections include congressional races and the governor's race.

Local elections supervisors are reminding voters who would like to vote and are not registered to do so that they must act by Monday, July 28th.

If you're not sure that you're registered, you can check your status online or call the elections office, and they'll look into it for you.

New registrations have to be in to your local elections office by the end of the business day Monday or postmarked by the July 28th deadline.
