The voter registration deadline for the August primary is here.

And, that is today, Monday, July 28th.

Broward Supervisor of Elections Dr. Brenda Snipes says the deadline to register to vote for any election is 29 days before that election date.

So, Snipes says, you have got to act fast if you want to vote.

If you're not sure that you're registered, you can check your status online or call the elections office, and they will look into it for you.

New registrations have to be in to your local county elections office by the end of the business day Monday or, if sent by mail, postmarked with the July 28th date.

The primary election is set for August 26th.
