A Five-Pound Marijuana Donation Surprises Thrift Store

A story of the marijuana variety has circulated to all of the major outlets, and it's definitely a head-scratcher. The story is that of the Pines Thrift Store in Sarasota, Florida (of course it's Florida), where a five pounds of cannabis was found "donated" in a tote bag.

As reported by the New York Post, the Sarasota police department reported that about 4.7 pounds of marijuana were found inside a brown paper bag within the tote bag and an employee reported the strange discovery. The estimated value? A whopping $5,400!

No arrests have been made in this case, but the local law enforcement officials have sent out the evidence for possible DNA indicators. Also, they'll be examining the surveillance footage to see if it can give them a lead.
