As reported by Fox News 6, a Detroit stadium worker was caught in a viral video spitting on a pizza that was intended to be served to customers. Foolishly, the act was done in front of another employee that was recording. The worker who spit in the pizza is now in custody and could face charges.
The incident, which happened on Friday, quickly came to the attention of the park's representatives. The officials had this to say:
“As soon as we became aware through social media of potential food tampering Friday night, we immediately closed that food stand and disposed of all the product. Food safety is our top priority and we will take any appropriate action necessary to protect our guests."
Interestingly enough, the coworker that took the video decided to take the video says that he tried to report it, but management shut him down when he tried to talk.
