Doc Reno from BIG 105.9 wants you to meet “Doc’s Dog of the Week” from the Humane Society of Broward County. Billy (ID 525314), a sweet 3-year-old dog has been waiting for a home for quite some time, and we’re not sure why he is getting passed by. Billy is a fun-loving guy who is looking for a best friend to take him for walks and play with him for hours on end. He loves to run, fetch, and play with squeaky toys. If you have a fenced-in yard, Billy is your boy! Billy likes the company of older children and even gets along with dogs (but he is a bit choosy, so we recommend a dog meet). Since the shelter staff has completely fallen in love with this guy – they will throw in some obedience training with their in-house trainer FREE of charge when you adopt him. Oh, and they’re not the only ones who think he's amazing. A generous patron by the name of Shawn has sponsored Billy's adoption fee in hopes that he finds the perfect home in no time.
When you adopt from the Humane Society of Broward County the dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, cats are feline leukemia tested, and dogs over 7 months are tested for heartworm. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 10-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food.
