A Florida inmate has been secretly filming the horrible conditions inmates are forced to live in. The Miami Herald obtained the footage from Scott Whitney, who used a hidden cellphone to film drug abuse, inmates beating each other, and mold on the kitchen walls.
The video was shot in snippets, with Whitney or other inmates narrating descriptions of life on the inside. For years, Whitney filmed using oversize glasses with cameras attached or cellphones hidden inside of a Holy Bible for his documentary. He promised to keep shooting footage, even after his bootleg cameras were taken away.
The footage, titled “Behind Tha Barb Wire,” was filmed at Martin Correctional Institution in Indiantown, FL.
