As an avid boater, I was horrified to read the story about the diver in Palm Beach County who had his arm severed, run over by another boater. I can tell you, that while running my boat from Boca Raton to Miami this weekend, there were dive flags everywhere, and that means divers in the water, and potential danger. How do you avoid them? The majority of snorkeling and scuba diving takes place in shallow depths out to 120 ft at the most. Want to avoid divers? Do what we do, and run your boat in 200-300 ft of water, and avoid a catastrophe. Boating safety couldn't be more important, people!
