First off, some in the media have been quick to take shots at the Marlins over the years, and by some, I mean me. I will not rehash my issues here and now, instead I say congratulations to the Miami Marlins and I look forward to watching them knock off the Cubs!
Why am I suddenly on board with this team in the post-season? One word: Pitching.
The Marlins have one of the most promising starting staffs in baseball and the three kids they are throwing out there for games 1-3 all have crazy live arms and are each capable of shutting down the Chicago offense. Sandy Alcantara will start today. Rookie phenom Sixto Sanchez goes tomorrow. Pablo Lopez goes Friday.
