A Candy Cane brew is coming to 29 states next week. It comes from DuClaw Brewing Company, which is no stranger to creating unique flavors. Some of their hits include beers based on Fruity Pebbles, Nerds candy, and Blueberry Pop Tarts.
The company literally deconstructed a candy cane to grab all the flavor hints. The PastryArchy Candy Cane Imperial Irish Stout is described as having notes of peppermint, vanilla and deep chocolate. It’s also 8.5-percent ABV. The director says they're excited to turn the classic candy cane into something fun for adults.
The dark beer will only be available for a limited time beginning in early November. There are plenty of South Florida locations that will stock the beer, including Total Wine, Crown and even some Whole Foods stores - find the one closest to you here.
