The Best (And Worst) Cities For An Active Lifestyle

New Year, New You! According to a new study from WalletHub, that's going to be harder to achieve if you live in Hialeah. They just released their list of the Best and Worst Cities for an Active Lifestyle and Hialeah comes in second-to-last.

The study looked at the 100 biggest U.S. cities based on 36 key indicators of an active lifestyle. Things like average cost of a gym membership, weather, how many people bike to work, number of baseball fields, swimming pools, and hiking and running trails.

  2. Portland, OR
  3. San Diego, CA
  4. San Francisco, CA
  5. Chicago, IL
  6. Seattle, WA
  7. Austin, TX
  8. Denver, CO
  9. Los Angeles, CA
  10. Washington, DC

Ten Worst Cities For An Active Lifestyle

  1. North Las Vegas, NV
  2. Hialeah, FL
  3. Newark, NJ
  4. Jersey City, NJ
  5. Laredo, TX
  6. San Bernardino, CA
  7. Irving, TX
  8. Bakersfield, CA
  9. Birmingham, AL
  10. Corpus Christi, TX

It turns out if you want to have an active lifestyle and live in Florida you should be looking at...Orlando? They came in at 22 out of 100. Miami finished middle-of-the-pack at 47. Click here to see the full list of cities.
