On Monday morning, a lightning strike along I-10 in the Florida Panhandle caused a chunk of the road to fly through the windshield of a pickup truck!
Walton County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Corey Dobridnia told the Tallahassee Democrat that the two occupants of the vehicle suffered minor lacerations from the smashed glass and “will be fine.”
It's a different story for their truck, however. Photo's posted to social media show the Ford pickup truck’s windshield and back window both shattered, and the driver's headrest knocked back.
Just last month Florida was dethroned as the lightning capital of the country, taking second place behind Oklahoma.
