Military veteran and newly-minted Florida Man Eugene Bozzi had his first encounter with an alligator this week and it's gone viral.
In the video, Bozzi approaches the 6-foot-long gator with a trash can as onlookers watch from a safe distance. As the gator slowly backs away, he is heard saying, "Let me know when the head goes inside."
Once the gator was in the trash can, Bozzi quickly maneuvered it down the embankment toward the retention pond pushing it over, and hightailed up the hill.
Typically, FWC officials advise people not to handle to attempt to wrangle gators themselves, as that can be extremely dangerous. Instead, officials urge the public to call the toll-free Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-392-428.
