Slob Wahoo Caught on the Troll!
Pictured above is Carly and Cody Bandura with a trophy sized 62 pound wahoo caught a few days back. This fish was caught trolling a C-Witch and bonito strip on a planer. Cody Bandura was the mate on the “Lisa B” for several years out of Lighthouse Point. This wahoo was taken on one of Cody‘s hand made c-witches and is his biggest date caught on the planer. This is truly an amazing catch as a fish of this size was caught without wire and relatively light tackle. It definitely takes skill to put a fish like this in the boat. The best of the wahoo bite has been in around 200 feet of water.
The kingfish bite actually picked up as well this week. Quite a few boats had kingfish up to 15 pounds with a few bonito mixed in.
