Heart Celebrates Their Only #1

In 1985 Heart's self titled eighth album went #1 on the Billboard 200!

The album was released in June on Capitol Records, and continued their transition into a more mainstream rock sound, as the Wilson sisters took on a more Hair Metal look which translated to the band's greatest commercial success. Newly signed to Capitol Records, the album became Heart's only album to reach #1, as it eventually certified 5X platinum.

The album also came with Heart's first number-one single, "These Dreams", along with "What About Love", "Never", "Nothin' at All", and "If Looks Could Kill", their first four releases reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

After a drop in popularity in the early 80's, "Heart" gave the Wilson sisters a monster comeback that would stretch into the 90's as they would catch fire in the newly popular MTV video age. Happy Anny Ann & Nancy!
