A Floridian was arrested after he swung a Stanley cup at an officer, when he broke into a church with a sledgehammer.
Yep, a sledgehammer.
The man caused over $10k in damages, when police responded to the call that he had broken into the church, and found Timothy Bornman, holding a metal Stanley cup in his hand, as he yelled and cussed at churchgoers.
Bornman tried to strike one of the oficers in the head with his Stanley cup, but the officer dodged the cup, which still hit him in the shoulder. Bornman was tased, incapacitated, and placed in handcuffs, and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and aggravated assault & battery.
Meanwhile The Stanley Cup will begin in Florida as the Panthers take on the Oilers on Saturday.
