Ahmed Hergal makes the dough using local seawater, spirulina and Italian flour along with charcoal to make it black. He tops it with champagne-marinated mozzarella, 24-carat gold and a mix of black and white truffles.
There’s also champagne mozzarella in it. While some customers have said it's a special meal from a respected chef, others say it's just too expensive for pizza.
I asked friend of the station, Chef Pagano of the Naked Taco in South Beach if he would be adding gold flakes to his tacos any time soon and he said "hold the gold" he also wasn't a fan of the champagne infused cheese but he mentioned he wouldn't be opposed to sipping on some champagne while eating this meal. I agree chef, I agree.
