Today is National Whipped Cream Day!
Celebrated on the birthday of Reddi-Wip founder Aaron "Bunny" Lapin's birthday, the holiday honors whipped cream's place in the the dessert world. Sweetened and flavored with vanilla, whipped cream has for years been the dominant topping for desserts, drinks, and well you know. Called by many names, like Chantilly cream, milk snow, or snow cream, whipped cream has been around since the 16th century. So, even though we celebrate it on Reddi-Wip founder, Aaron "Buddy" Lapin's birthday, his was just one of the more popular variations of the topping to hit the market.
