Today Wayne's World Resurrected Queen

In 1992, Mike Myers released the highly anticipated film Wayne's World, which dominated movie screens everywhere. To help promote the film, Queen re-released their classic Bohemian Rhapsody, as it was a part of the film and on the soundtrack. A music video was made to promote the film and the soundtrack which featured the scene where the song is played intercut with the original music video.

The combination was a massive hit for both parties, as Wayne's World debuted at #1 in the box office and Queen got a major surge of renewed popularity as radio stations began playin the song again and the video got massive airplay on MTV, winning an MTV award that year.  Freddy Mercury, died a few months before the film's release, but Brian May said Freddy saw the head banging scene and found it hilarious.
