Simon Biles and Jordan Chiles showed respect to Rebeca Andrade of Brazil, by bowing to her on the podium and the Ravens Marlon Humphrey took a shot at the champ.
Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey posted on X to slam Biles and Chiles, who came in second and third, respectively, by captioning,
"This is literally disgusting," to go with the picture of the moment. The post ignited a flame war that brought massive backlash to Humphrey, which in turn became a point of interest in Simone's interview on "TODAY".
The most decorated gymnast in American History said, that it's all about sportsmanship and she doesn't care whether she wins or loses.
"you have to give them their flowers." Biles said as she and Jordan were happy for Andrade, who, deserved the gold. Andrade has suffered three knee injuries during her career and this was her big comeback after years of rehabbing, so the honor the two Americans showed her was one of class, unlike Marlon's comments.
It's not like we can say that Marlon can show some sportsmanship when he wins a Super Bowl, since the Ravens would first have to win a championship game, maybe on their home field, so they can get to one before he can do that.
