Alice In Chains Is Celebrating 15 Years?!

Alice In Chains is celebrating the 15th anniversary of "Black Gives Way To Blue" with a vinyl reissue!

The original LP, is out of print and a real find for vinyl collectors, so now the reissue will arrive on September 27th and will come on three limited-edition color pressings of Black Widow, Black Smoke, and Electric Smoke.

"Black Gives Way To Blue" was the first album the band made since the death of singer Layne Staley, and the first with new singer William Duvall, after Jerry Cantrell's solo projects that included band members Mike Inez and Sean Kinney. "Black Gives Way To Blue" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and went gold, backed by the singles "Your Decision", "Lesson Learned", "Check My Brain" and "A Looking In View". The title track also charted well as it featured Elton John on piano, in a tribute to Staley.

"I think initially people came arms crossed, sort of hoping against hope. I hear that a lot. I'm not trying to do a Layne. One of the things I loved about him was how individual he was. He was just being himself, so that's what I do." Duvall said at the time of the release.

Black Gives Way To Blue is available for preorder now.
