In-Person Jury Trials Resume In Miami-Dade

Jury trials resume today in Miami-Dade for the first time since last March. 11th Circuit Chief Judge Elect Nushin Sayfie says they expect many potential jurors to say they're not comfortable fulfilling their civic duty in person, but they think there are enough people in the pool to make this work. Three courtrooms will be used for each trial--one for proceedings, one for lawyers to meet with clients and witnesses and one for jurors to take breaks and deliberate. No word yet on when jury trials will resume in Broward.
