Flags Fly At Half Staff For Late South Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings

Flags are flying at half staff in honor of Representative Alcee Hastings.

The Democrat Congressman died on Tuesday at the age of 84, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Gov. DeSantis ordered flags to be flown at half staff at the Palm Beach County Courthouse in West Palm Beach, Delray Beach City Hall and the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee from sunrise to sunset on Friday.

Hastings, a former federal judge, represented South Florida in the U.S. House since 1993. He was the longest-serving member of Congress.
