The Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line over the weekend set sail on its first voyage with paying passengers since the onset of the pandemic.

That happened after getting the green light from the CDC on Saturday.

The Grand Classica is expected back at the Port of Palm Beach on Monday and will set sail again at 5 p.m.

The cruise line has implemented several new guidelines and protocols to keep passengers and crew safe, including mandatory masking indoors and a strict social distancing policy.

Travelers must either show proof of vaccinations or results from a negative COVID test and the ship is only carrying a maximum of 400 passengers right now, compared to their pre-pandemic average of 1,500 per trip.
