Florida lawmakers taking up one of the most controversial issues of the 2022 session Wednesday. A House panel going back and fourth on the abortion bill preventing doctors from performing the procedure after fifteen weeks. Democratic Representative Fentrice Driskell says this is the first hearing of the bill similar to one in Mississippi that's before the U-S Supreme Court. The bill does not include an exemption for incest or rape, but it does include exemptions in cases of serious medical emergencies for the mother or fatal fetal abnormalities. Current state bans abortion after 24-weeks.
