FDA Halts Monoclonal Antibody Treatments

Thousands of Floridians won't be able to get COVID treatments due to a sudden decision by the FDA.

The Florida Department of Health announcing the FDA has removed its Emergency Use Authorization for two monoclonal antibody treatments from Regeneron and Eli Lilly.

The FDA says the medications should not be used in the U.S. because they're ineffective against the dominant omicron variant.

Governor DeSantis isn't happy with the move, releasing a statement that says "Without a shred of clinical data to support this action, Biden has forced trained medical professionals to choose between treating their patients or breaking the law."

The FDOH says all monoclonal antibody treatment sites are closed until further notice.
