Broward County, FL - A Broward County woman has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery after allegedly driving her SUV into the father of her child and a woman he was reportedly intimate with.
The assault occurred around 1 a.m. on September 22nd on North Beach Road in Dania Beach.
According to the arrest report, a female victim stated that she and a man were engaged in intimate activities on the passenger side of his vehicle when a dark-colored Nissan SUV, traveling approximately 20 mph, struck them, pinning both between the two vehicles.
After the collision, the driver, later identified as 37-year-old Tanisha Monique Burgess from Deerfield Beach, exited the SUV and confronted the victims, allegedly stating, "[expletive], you know who the [expletive] I am; I am [redacted]'s baby mama," before leaving the scene.
The female victim, unaware of any existing relationship between the man and Burgess, suffered leg injuries requiring medical attention, including staples for a laceration.
The male victim, who confirmed Burgess as his child's mother, acknowledged the incident but expressed no desire to pursue charges.
Burgess was arrested by the Broward Sheriff's Office on Tuesday and charged with two counts of aggravated battery.
She was booked into jail and later appeared in court, where she received a $7,500 bond.
