Tampa, FL - The Tampa Bay Rays are gathering detailed fan feedback as part of early planning for a potential new baseball stadium in Tampa.
The team has launched an extensive survey asking fans about seating preferences, ticket pricing, amenities and overall ballpark design concepts.
The questionnaire explores where fans prefer to sit, how much they would be willing to pay for different seating options and what features they value most when attending games.
It also asks about concessions, social gathering areas, technology, transportation access and family friendly spaces.
The survey is tied to the Rays’ ongoing efforts to evaluate a proposed stadium and mixed use development at the Hillsborough College Dale Mabry campus.
That site has emerged as a leading option following recent discussions between the team, the college and local officials.
Preliminary concepts released earlier show a modern ballpark integrated into a larger district that could include retail, dining, housing and entertainment.
Team officials have emphasized that the survey does not represent final plans.
Instead, it is intended to help planners understand fan expectations before decisions are made on seating layouts, pricing models and game day experiences.
The questions include hypothetical scenarios designed to measure interest in premium seating, shaded areas, standing room sections and enhanced food and beverage offerings.
The Rays have been exploring stadium options in the Tampa Bay area for more than a decade as they consider long term alternatives to Tropicana Field.
Any new ballpark proposal would still require funding agreements, government approvals and additional public input.
Officials said fan responses will be analyzed alongside market research to guide future design decisions. No construction timeline or final cost has been announced, and the survey is considered an early step in a lengthy planning process.
