(Miami Gardens, FL) - For the fifth year, the Miami Grand Prix is pumping money and excitement into Hard Rock Stadium and its Miami International Autodrome.

Hard Rock Stadium has been transformed into the Miami International Autodrome with qualifying getting underway Friday for Formula 1 races tomorrow and Sunday.

The Boyd Company's John Boyd calls Miami and Formula 1 the perfect marriage.

His economic development consultant firm has calculated the three-days of racing will have an economic impact of nearly $550 million.

He says the typical F1 visitor spends double the typical Miami tourist... filling hotels at more than 95%.

The starting grid for Sunday afternoon's (4p) race will be confirmed after qualifying on Saturday night.
