Florida Sets Third Straight COVID-19 Daily Case Record


Florida is reporting a third day in a row with record high number of coronavirus cases. The state health department lists four-thousand and forty nine new cases today, beating the previous single-day high of more than 38-hundred cases yesterday. Florida has 93,797 total cases since the pandemic began.

Another 40 virus-related deaths are reported, pushing the statewide death toll to more than 3200. The state's positive test rate also continues to go up and is now at about 6%.
