You might have noticed that Tuesday, April 2nd was kind of a big day for geeks on the internet. Well, that'd be because of a little film you've probably heard of: Avengers: Endgame. Not only did Marvel Studios and their parent company Disney decide to drop a SWEET one minute special look at the film (with loads of new footage), but they also announced that tickets for the film are on sale!
And...well...the internet sorta exploded. As reported by Deadline and all the other Hollywood trades, the amount of online traffic caused by the rush to get tickets caused major ticketing sites like Fandango and Atom to go down and experience extremely slow speeds. There were queues to buy tickets that lasted over an hour for some people! But it was all worth it for many fans, and definitely worth it for Marvel. Check out the list of Fandango's all-time pre-sale champions:
- Avengers: Endgame(2019)
- Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi(2017)
- Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
- Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Yeah, we think they're doing alright, even with the insanity. Let us know if you got tickets! Will you be seeing the film opening weekend?
