The immense machine of Disney can't be stopped. They're truly the greatest force ever to be reckoned with in the media landscape. And nothing really shows their ability to show off quite like their convention and media event, D23. This event is where they unveil trailers, behind the scenes footage, theme park updates, new games and programs, and so much more. Well, this year they revealed a massive undertaking that has fans excited, yet nervous for their wallets:
The Galaxy's Edge hotel, entitled Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. In this new fully immersive resort, fans will be treated as if they've joined a trip on a luxury starship called the Halcyon from the planet Chandrila (birthplace of Kylo Ren, by the way).
There's going to be full on costuming, set design, dinner experiences, droids, and so much more. Everything you've ever dreamed of getting in a Disney resort in space. Yes, this is real life.
Unfortunately, since it IS real life, that means we're going to be paying real world prices. We're going to be paying...a lot. Like a lot, a lot. Check out this tweet and brace yourself:
