Well, he's back, and he's definitely been making waves. CM Punk has made his way back to the WWE, but on the Fox side of things. Instead of grapples and fists, it's going to be his words, wit, and analytical abilities that carry him forward on the new FS1 program, WWE Backstage. Nobody could have expected Renee Young to signal for "Cult of Personality" at the end of an episode. It was an amazing moment. But it naturally created one question: Will Punk ever step back into the ring again?
Here's what we knew up until this point: As reported by WWE after his surprise debut, he'll be making "periodic appearances." And apparently, almost everyone was left in the dark about this. Well, now we have full clarification that he's a Fox employee, and not a WWE employee. And while he doesn't seem like he currently wants to jump back in the ring, he does say that at his age, you can't just blindly say no to things. So that's a huge "it's not impossible," and we couldn't be happier.
