Check Out These Tiny Homes That Fold Up Like Origami

If you're into the "tiny house" way of life, here's something that takes the concept to a new level. Imagine a tiny house that folds up kind of like origami - that you can easily transport anywhere you want to go.

Brette Haus is a startup company out of Latvia that specializes in these new tiny homes. The models come with plumbing and electrical wiring pre-installed and can be set up anywhere in three to four hours using a small crane. Because no permanent foundation is required, the unique home has a minimum impact on the land.

Brette Haus offers three designs, with sizes varying between 65 and 165 square feet. It currently takes them about eight weeks to build a single foldable home, but they plan to cut that in half by enlarging their manufacturing space and increasing the production rate. The designs cost between $22k-$56k.
