An annual list just came out of the "Dirty Dozen"...the 12 fruits and vegetables that tend to be covered in the most pesticides. Here's what you need to be double-washing or buying organic:
- Strawberries. They're at the top for the sixth year in a row.
- Spinach.
- Kale.
- Nectarines.
- Apples.
- Grapes.
- Cherries.
- Peaches.
- Pears.
- Bell peppers and hot peppers.
- Tomatoes.
- Celery.
They say the CLEANEST options are avocadoes, corn, pineapples, onions, and papayas.
