Alarming footage captured the moment a family’s car toppled backward as the drawbridge they were on lifted up unexpectedly.
It happened on Friday October 27, 2021 on the Marie Thumas Bridge in Leuven, Belgium. Apparently, the bridge was activated without warning, to allow the passage of a ship.
Video shows the car start to slide backward as the bridge is nearly perpendicular to the road. The car landed upside down on a barrier, trapping the two parents and 1-year-old child inside.
Luckily the occupants of the car did not suffer serious injuries, according to local officials.
