Is Coffee Making Us Fat?

The Journal of Food Science and Cornell University have found that caffeine, and in particular drinking coffee, might be a trigger for sugar consumption, leading to weight gain!

No, we're not kidding.

The thought is that basically, caffeine awakens people but it decreases their ability to taste sweetness, which may make them desire it more so you can potentially eat twice as many donuts or sugary foods to fulfill the craving thus, leading to weight gain. 

Sadly, the only reasonable answer is to just give up coffee but that's just not an option, right?
