Guy Fieri did his part for victims and first responders of the California Wildfires
Guy was at the evacuation center in Santa Rosa, California late last week, broke out his bbq and started serving up barbecued meats and macaroni and cheese to evacuees and first responders!
Guy and his wife live in the Santa Rosa area and were forced to evacuate with his wife last Monday, but when he was able to get back he teamed up with Salvation Army and didn't come by empty handed; he showed up with a trailer, a crew, a wood-fired oven and a barbecue smoker, making almost 4,000 meals for lunch and dinner!
Unfortunately, because people always have to be negative, he had to deal with criticism overGuy showing up with a smoker, saying it was insensitive, but he had a great attitude about it saying:
“If that’s what you think and you’re that shallow at a time like this with what we’re facing, then there’s no changing your mind about that...This isn’t a PR stunt. You don’t see my banners up. I’m not promoting anything. I’m just here cooking. This is feeding people. People need help, and I’m here to help. That’s it.”
