Music legend Sir Paul McCartney seems to be having a lot of fun surprising people these days. After taking the internet by storm with his unexpected pub performance on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, McCartney has taken the surprise songs to New York City.
On Friday evening the famed former Beatle set up a stage in Grand Central Station to promote his new album, Egypt Station. McCartney told USA Today that he thought, "what's the coolest station we could think of?" And so he settled on the iconic NYC landmark.
Many famous guests including Meryl Streep, Jon Bon Jovi, and Steve Buscemi were in attendance for the epic 24-song set. McCartney played songs spanning his whole career, and even invited fans on stage for some personal and touching moments.
