Bald Eagle Lands On American Flag On 9/11

As reported by The New York Post, a firetruck in Minnesota was displaying the American flag as a tribute to the lives lost in the tragedy on September 11th, 2001. Video posted on Facebook showed people a truly wonderful and unexpected addition to the tribute: A bald eagle anded on the flag.

At the time of this post's composition, the video has been viewed over 600,000 times on the Andover Fire Department's page. Everyone seems to be truly moved and inspired by the poetic moment.

“This eagle just landed on the aerial while we’re doing the 9/11 memorial…Phenomenal," said Andover Fire Chief Jerry Streich.

Other citizens have found hope and inspiration in the surprise moment as well. One person said that the eagle was an "an unbelievable message from our Country’s Nat’l Symbol" and "message from all the victims in Heaven."
