Dave Grohl Adds Some "Teen Spirit" To Foo Fighters Show

Believe it or not, it has been 27 years since the release of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." With that in mind, their former drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl delivered a small tribute during their show on September 10th.

As reported in Alternative Nation, the much loved rockstar snuck in the iconic opening drum intro of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" after the band's cover of Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure." Despite it only being a small nod to the smash grunge hit, the crowd loved it and it's been making the rounds.

The more morbid side of the story is that the song is now the same age that Kurt Cobain was when he passed away. Despite the lingering sadness, it's nice to see his legacy carrying on strong.
