The town of Uranus, Missouri is obviously already a source for inherent comedy. But it has now made the news for a new reason: Its local newspaper. As reported by KY3 News, the town has now launched its new source for news coverage and they've titled it "The Uranus Examiner."
No, really.
The managing editor of the paper, Natalie Sanders, announced the new name on Wednesday, much to the chagrin of some citizens. One such person is the Mayor of Waynesville, Luge Hardman. Hardman got on a microphone after the announcement and this to say:
"No. I'm sorry. But, the innuendo of that title puts my city up for public ridicule, and I will not be a part of it."
