Condiment Controversy: 'Mayochup' Is Here!

As reported by Today, the controversial new condiment from Heinz is finally arriving this month. The new condiment, called 'Mayochup,' is exactly what it sounds like: A combination of ketchup and mayonnaise. Some find it to be brilliant, because we all love when things are done for us. But some find it to be completely and utterly unnecessary, with some online voices going as far as to say it appropriates the culture of Latin families who've been mixing the two for years. 

Heinz apparently has received enough feedback to inspire them to look to their online fans to make some distribution decisions. An internet poll was created to help customers decide which cities the new pink sauce should go to. As of the writing of this blog, the poll is on its final day. 

Despite the excitement, some have been quick to point out that the new sauce is basically the same thing as Russian dressing, fry sauce, Thousand Island dressing, Shake Shack's signature ShackSauce and Goya's Salsa Rosada. But hey, decide for yourself! Let us know what you think.
