Jordan Peele Returns To TV With 'Twilight Zone' Reboot

posted by Paul Castronovo Show -

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter (and every other outlet that reports awesome news) Academy Award winner Jordan Peele is returning to TV with CBS's Twilight Zone reboot. And if you've seen Get Out, for which he won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar, you know we're in for a haunting time.

Peele, who is currently in production on his next feature, Us, will be hosting and narrating the new incarnation of the classic speculative sci-fi/thriller series for CBS's streaming service, CBS All Access. While there is no set premiere date, CBS is aiming to release the new show in Fall 2019.

Peele had this to say about his new position and the legendary Rod Serling, of the original incarnation:

"Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours. I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone.”

Below is CBS's announcement video, featuring Peele's first bit of narration:
