As reported by the Sun-Sentinel, Nova Southeastern University and its Guy Harvey Research Institute are going to use sharks to predict the results of Florida's elections. Four sharks, named for Rick Scott, Bill Nelson, Ron DeSantis, and Andrew Gillum, are all going to swim in a race, and the winners represent the predictions.
It's worth noting that in the 2016 election, the shark representing Donald Trump did win the race, therefore successfully predicting the election result. “Once again we turn to our sharks for their wisdom and expertise," said Richard Dodge, Dean of the NSU Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography.
The way it works is that each shark will have a small satellite tag attached to it, and they'll be tracked along the way.
