FLL Named One Of The Best Airports In The Country

US-AIRPORT

If you're thinking of traveling this holiday season, skip Miami International Airport and head north to Fort Lauderdale.

The Wall Street Journal ranked the top 20 major US airports based on:

  • reliability (on-time arrivals, TSA wait times, etc)
  • value (domestic airfare, cost of on-site parking, rental car taxes and fees, etc)
  • convenience (Wi-Fi speed, walk from the curb to the gate, Yelp restaurant ratings, etc)

Topping their list was Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport. Denver International Airport, which led the pack in 2018, came in second. Rounding out the top three is South Florida's own Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

FLL got an overall score of 63.75 out of 100, with their value score being the highest out of all airports included in the ranking. Pro-tip - charge your phones before you go because there aren't many available outlets.

Miami International Airport ranked 17th, with an overall score of 41.94.
