7-Foot Gator Tries To Catch A Ride With Florida Man

Combination Of Rising Sea Levels And Subsiding Land Endanger Louisiana Coast

A North Port, FL resident was a little late for work when they went out to their garage and found a 7-foot alligator the driver’s side of their car. As we recently found out, it's easy to lose a finger to an alligator, so we wouldn't recommend carpooling with one!

North Port Police shared photos of the gator on Facebook, saying, "One local resident on Hobblebrush Drive in North Port had a seven footer trying to catch a ride this afternoon. We got the confused Alligator mississippiensis back into the nearby canal. C-ya later #alligator!"

There were no reported injuries to humans or gators during the incident.
