A Portland woman named Lex created a PowerPoint presentation to tell her family that she’s working as a stripper, as seen in a viral TikTok clip posted by her sister. It shows Lex scrolling through her presentation as mom and dad sit and watched intently. Lex shared several slides in which she works to end the stigma associated with working in a strip joint before spilling the details. “I’m a stripper! As in I pole dance at a strip club and I love it!” Lex was already thinking one step ahead of her parents, so her presentation included an “FAQ” portion where she explained the different issues that may arise in her job. Lex also reassured her folks that she’s not a part of any other sex work. All she “does is dance and chat with people.” Lex’s mother had nothing but kind words of support for her daughter. “I really appreciate you being forthright and sharing your life with us, and I’m glad you are powerful,” she said.
