Miami's Mayor is standing behind his City Manager in his decision to suspend with intent to terminate Police Chief Art Acevedo.
Francis Suarez says while Acevedo is qualified to be a top cop, his personality and leadership style just didn't fit with Miami's structure of government.
The City Manager has drafted a memo with eight points why Acevedo should be dismissed, including a series of controversial comments and actions.
Acevedo is expected to have a hearing in front of city commissioners to determine if they agree with the City Manager's decision. That could take place on Friday.
